This Refund Policy explains how payment, cancellation, and refunds work for Precisa Solutions engagements. It forms part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms used here (like "Written Scope") have the meaning given to them in the Terms. A signed Written Scope for a specific engagement takes precedence over this page; anything not addressed here is governed by the Terms of Service.
Payment terms
Engagements are billed as full payment upfront. The full project fee is due before any work begins, as set out in the Written Scope for that engagement. Fees are quoted and payable in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless the Written Scope states otherwise, and are exclusive of applicable sales, use, VAT, or GST/HST taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed through our third-party payment processor (currently Stripe).
No refunds once work has started
Because payment is collected upfront to secure your project slot and begin work immediately, all fees are final and non-refundable once work has started — regardless of project outcome, scope changes you request along the way, or a later decision to discontinue the engagement. This applies equally to termination by either party under the Terms of Service.
Before work begins
If you need to cancel after paying but before we've started any work, contact us as soon as possible. Since no work has been delivered in that case, we'll issue a full refund, less any third-party costs already committed on your behalf (such as software licenses or API credits purchased for the project).
Billing errors
Duplicate charges or invoicing mistakes are always corrected in full. If you spot a billing error, email us right away and we'll fix it promptly.
Chargebacks and disputes
Please contact us before filing a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card issuer — most billing issues can be resolved directly and faster this way. Filing a chargeback for a payment tied to work that has already started, without first raising the issue with us, is treated as a breach of our Terms of Service, and we reserve the right to suspend deliverables or access tied to that engagement until it's resolved. This does not limit any right you have under applicable law to dispute an unauthorized or fraudulent charge.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, on the same terms set out in our Terms of Service.
